President's Message
August 8, 2003
The UNF Camp was a learning experience for all who attended. McKennis Allen our vice president held 2 days of intensive rules review and training classes. He did an outstanding job and I heard nothing but good things from the people who attended. George Phillips the Evaluation Committee Chairman, with his evaluators took advantage of the camp and was able to put a nice dent in the before season evaluations. Nothing but great reviews from those whom were evaluated. David Harrell and Jerry Kersey were our lead Video technician with Doug Booker as backup, together they produced some excellent videos of game situations to use during the evaluations and for training of the new officials.
Earl Sappenfield was there to help us all, stay on track and focused on the goals we had set to achieve. As always he was ready to jump in and assist with anything we needed. Lawrence Starling assisted with the on court training as well as Steve Naso. John Walsh and Arlene Quinlan. Bernie Ray came through with some delicious food for the whole weekend. Last, but not least, all the members who came out and worked made this a positive learning experience for all. The teamwork and spirit was very enjoyable, it was a pleasure to work and also get the time to socialize with each other. This is what we wanted to accomplish. The camp enjoyable and a learning experience too! If I left out anyone, please excuse me, but your attendance was greatly appreciated.
These people put forth an enormous effort to make your camp successful and it was. Now, for those who weren’t there, ask yourself what can I do to help make SABO the best association in the state? Then give me a call. We need help for the State Field Clinic in November.
See you at the Organization Meeting!
Margaret Busbee
